One of our 2015 MYB sponsers was Brenda's Athletic Club, represented by Personal Trainer Samatha Latasha.
Some info on Samatha
I enjoy working with athletes whether it is preparing for a 5k, marathon or to get in the best shape of your life. My experiences, knowledge and skills makes me more than qualified to work with a range of athletes. My training style is very unique because you will always get a cardio workout and at the same time build strength and toning to give you the competitive edge to boost your performance. My workouts are always challenging and at the same time are creative so that you are always moving and having fun. Besides personal training I am also an athletic training intern for CSU Stanislaus Warriors. You can always catch me on the field or by phone at 4084608808 or email me directly here firstname.lastname@example.org.

Congratulations to our overall winner Josh Van Allen and this years top female Sierra Bigler.
Thank you to all who participated, volunteered, donated time and money. This year was another success and would not have been possible without you and our sponsors.

Please remember to wear you helmet and follow the rules of the road. Just last year a colleague of mine was out cycling with one other rider. They were both hit by a car at a 4 way stop just east of Modesto. The riders thought the car would stop at the stop sign so they proceeded through the intersection. The car did not make a full stop and hit both cyclist. Fortunately both riders were not seriously injured, but their bikes were totaled. Just today during a ride I witnessed a Cyclist 50 yards in front of me trying to roll through a 4 way stop sign with cars already stopped. A car was expecting the cyclist to stop and started to move through the intersection as the cyclist rolled through the stop sign. The cyclist had to make a sharp right turn to avoid hitting the car. Lets all be more conscientious about stopping at stop lights and stop signs. We need to make a habit of making eye contact with drivers and proceeding with caution. Be courteous to automobiles as we wish for them to be courteous to us. Returning safely from a ride is more important than having your bike mangled or a trip to the hospital.
